Dish Network New Channels

Dish Network, one of America's top satellite providers, has unveiled a number of new HD (High Definition) channels. On top of that they have added some exciting programming to their DishLATINO and DishINTERNATIONAL packages.

Two channels have been added to the Spanish-language programming, and these include Teleformula and SLTV. Teleformula is a Mexican channel launched on October 3, 2007, that broadcasts 24 hours-a-day, and features sports, sports news, as well as entertainment. Launched on September 19, 2007, New Shop Latino Channel (SLTV) also broadcasts around the clock, 365 days a year. Unfortunately, effective October 3, 2007, TV Chile has been made unavailable from Dish Network. It was previously found on channel 842 on the DishLATINO package. Another interesting offer for our Spanish speakers is the ability to catch six games of the South American World Cup Qualifiers for only $159.99. Watch the amazing footwork of soccer powerhouses such as Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay and Chile.

Some new channels have also been added to the DishINTERNATIONAL package. Two channels have joined the line-up, with the first one being a new Hindi-language channel called ZEE Sports America. This channel was launched on September 26, 2007, and as the name suggests it is a sports channel from the Indian subcontinent. You will be able to catch live cricket from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and England. The second channel added is MH1 and this is broadcast in Punjabi. It was launched on October 3, 2007, and one can catch top-rated shows such as Hasde Hasande Ravo, Awaaz Punjab Di, Jot Jale Din Raat, Sarb Sanjhi Gurbani, Rang Punjab de, and Ghuggi Online. In addition to all these shows customers will also be able to experience the popular music form that is Bhangra. Those are the additions Dish Network has made to its non-English programming.

When it comes to the new HD additons (all in English) Dish Network has added 4 new HD RSN's (Regional Sports Networks). These channels are CSN West, CSN Mid-Atlantic, FSN Ohio, and Altitude. On October 5, 2007, TBS in HD was added. This channel is a favorite amongst baseball fans as it is the exculsive provider of the first and second rounds of the MLB playoffs. Last but not least, 7 new HD Pay-Per-View (PPV) channels have also been added to Dish Network's exciting channel line-up. That brings to 8 the total number of PPV channels.
